Widows and Orphans Empowerment Organisation (WEWE) is a not – for – profit, Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) that was founded in 2004 by Josephine Ogazi and Joseph Egwuonwu. WEWE started out as a Community Based Organisation (CBO) with the aim of providing scholarships and economic empowerment to orphans and widows in Okigwe, Imo State and has since expanded its aims and objectives.

WEWE is registered as a national NGO with CAC under incorporated trustees and its registration number is CAC/IT/NO33132.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Program Officer

Location: Imo
Employment Type: Volunteer

Job Description

  • Work with the Program Director to plan and oversee the implementation of activities using a collaboration quality approach
  • Provide technical assistance and training as appropriate to the beneficiaries to ensure that high standard of program implementation are provided
  • Strengthen collaboration and linkage between relevant ministries, LGAs and CSOs
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual report of program activities of the state, including the activities of the implementing CSOs if applicable and submit to the management
  • Maintain our registration with Imo state Ministries Department Agency (MDAs)
  • Support the new business team in Resource Mobilization drive and proposal writing
  • Conduct advocacy and courtesy visits as the needs arise
  • Liaise with the landlord to maintain our leased office space and also with security and cleaning services agreements
  • Participate in mid-management meetings
  • Represent WEWE in event and management meetings in the absence of senior management staff
  • Attend to other duties that might be assigned by the management.

Job Qualifications

  • HND
  • Experience: 5 - 8 years.

Salary

  • N50,000 monthly.
