Overview

  • NRC initiated country operations in Nigeria in June 2015 in order to respond to the critical and increasing needs in the country. NRC currently has a full team based in Yola Area Office, Field Offices in Borno and Adamawa states and a coordination office in Abuja.
  • NRC is currently providing services across various sectors namely; Shelter and Non-Food Items (NFI); Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Promotion (WASH); Livelihoods & Food Security (LFS); Information, Counselling and Legal Assistance (ICLA), Education and Camp Management Camp Coordination (CCCM) in order to address identified humanitarian needs.

Detailed Description

  • NRC is looking for an ICLA Officer for our Jos - Plateau State Office in east-central Nigeria. The purpose of the ICLA Officer position is to lead in the day-to-day implementation of ICLA project activities under the supervision of the ICLA Coordinator.
  • The ICLA Officer reports to the ICLA Coordinator-Jos.

Responsibilities
Generic Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence with NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
  • Implement delegated ICLA project portfolio according to plan of action
  • Prepare and develop status reports as required by management
  • Ensure proper filing of documents
  • Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need, and explore and asses new and better ways to assist.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Develop and adapt training and information dissemination materials;
  • Contribute to organisational learning through the provision of specific technical analysis, lessons learned and reports;
  • Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need of protection are explored and asses new and better ways to assist;
  • Monitor and report on the project activities and ensure compliance with plans and NRC standards;
  • Develop status reports, including documentation of project achievements and deliverables.

Requirement

  • Bachelor's Degree.

What We Offer / Conditions

  • Level: Grade Level 5 Step 1 (Nigerian National)
  • Reports to: ICLA Coordinator
  • Duty station: Jos - Plateau State
  • Travel: 70% (with travel to LGA's project sites)
  • Duration and type of contract: 12 months
  • Commencement: 1st May, 2021.
