Job Title: Science Teacher

Job Description
  • Must be able to demonstrate ability to teach children in the subject(s) applied for.
  • Conducts activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.
  • Identify, select, and modify resources to meet the needs of the students taking into cognizance the varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs of the pupils.
  • Maintains effective and efficient record keeping procedures.
  • Provides a positive environment in which students are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process.
  • Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis.
  • Be of professional and ethical standards especially when dealing with students, colleagues, and community.
  • Ensures that student's growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for age group, subject area, and/or program classification.
Requirements
  • First Degree and/or teaching degree
  • At least five years teaching experience
  • Evidence of further professional study e.g. Masters
  • Professional association with a recognized body is an added advantage
  • IGCSE certificate would be a plus
  • Teaching experience in an international school would be a plus.
