Job Summary

  • We are looking to hire a smart, detail-oriented Revenue Assurance Lead to analyze the organization's financial records for accuracy.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for improving cash flows, analyzing profits and revenues as well as ensuring that payments are made in a timely manner.
  • The ideal candidate should have a knack for problem solving as s/he will from time to time examine and analyze financial records to identify revenue leakage, errors and any other irregularities that might interfere with collections or billings.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that settlements are received as at when due, correct pricing is being charged by vendors and loss of funds is reduced to the barest minimum.
  • Managing the end to end process redesign and development of the revenue operations functions in line with better practice principles and organizational need.
  • Ensuring that all revenue leakages are blocked by engaging with both internal and external stakeholders to assist with the investigation of the root cause of all revenue leakages.
  • Supervising and tracking of incomplete settlement recovery, unauthorized charge-back recovery and recovery of all forms of revenue leakages.
  • Performing revenue analysis, calculations and reporting on a scheduled basis.
  • Developing new strategies to improve the accuracy of revenue and come up with strategies to improve our net income.
  • Overseeing processes to ensure effective and timely resolution of escalated internal and external customer enquirers, complaints and errors identified across the revenue services function, including leading corrective actions to address the immediate issue and preventing re-occurrences.
  • Manage credit and accounts receivable functions as well as the sundry billing and cash payments process. This includes leading the management of overdue debts (including direct contact if necessary), the preparation of bad debt calculations, provisioning bad debt write-offs and preparing reporting and commentary to CFO and Board.
  • Engaging with both internal and external stakeholders to assist with the investigation to root cause of losses.
  • Manage relationships with members of other teams within the company as well as the dispute teams of partner banks.

Experience / Qualifications

  • Candidates should posses a Bachelor's degree in Business or any related discipline from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the Reconciliation / Revenue Assurance unit of any Fintech or Telcos.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the reconciliation unit of any fintech.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Google suite and emails.
  • Proficiency in Tableau or PowerBi.
  • Strong Analytical skills.
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving and independent execution skills.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Time management techniques and organizational skills with the ability to meet business targets, perform under pressure and manage a complex and varied workload.
  • Skills in coordinating the development and implementation of strategies to support cost-effectiveness and business improvement.
  • Strong ability to analyze, interpret and explain business different business cases.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple and changing priorities and to work well under pressure.
  • This person must be confident in making fast, well-reasoned decisions with minimal supervision.
