Job Title: High Voltage Operation Project Engineer
Location: Lagos
General Description
- The High Voltage Operations Project Engineer will provide support to High Voltage Operations Team in the areas of ongoing maintenance activities and projects, integration of new facilities, betterment project development and interdepartmental communication. The High Voltage Project Manager will also serve, in conjunction with other High Voltage Operations staff and the Electrical Engineers in general, as the Company’s subject matter expert on essentially all high voltage issues. Ability to apply pertinent industry standards and codes including Institute of Electrical & Electronic Engineering (IEEE), National Electric Safety Code (NESC) and American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- 5+ years of relevant technical experience.
- Necessary qualifications to operate high voltage equipment.
- Expert knowledge of medium and high voltage substation electrical equipment including relay protection systems, collection systems, transmission designs and operations.
- Experience with power generation or distribution preferred.
- Experience with establishing high voltage field service preferred.
