Job Title: Human Resource Manager

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Support ongoing overhaul of the human capital function
  • Provide end to end human resource management service for the organization
  • Implement and monitor all areas of continuous improvement strategies for the human capital function of the organization
  • Design and implement HR policies
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
  • Drive the People First mandate of the organization through the human capital function
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, and procedures across the organization
  • Nurture a positive working environment
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
  • Maintain pay structure and benefits program
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
  • Champion the implementation of the company’s culture throughout the organization
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human capital development
  • Support the development of business plans and strategies, and monitor performance
  • Provide administrative and business support across the organization

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Law, Social Sciences or any other related field from a reputable institution is essential for this role
  • A professional certification in Human Resource Management is desirable for this role
  • An M.Sc / MBA in a related field would be an added advantage
  • Proven working experience as HR Manager or other HR Executive (minimum of 5 years)
  • People oriented and results - driven
  • Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels
  • In - depth knowledge of regulatory laws and HR best practices
  • Able to liaise with external legal and regulatory bodies on company matters
  • Ability to work on own initiative and deliver timely on projects
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
