The Nigerian Urban Reproductive Health Initiative (NURHI), a Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation-funded project headquartered in Abuja. seeks applications from suitably qualified individuals to contribute to the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) of improved maternal health and reduced child mortality through increased contraceptive prevalence rates in selected 1I1'ban areas in Nigeria.

NURHI is looking for dynamic, hardworking individuals to join our team for the following positions in Abuja:

Grant Officer
The Grants Officer is a full-time member of the project team. S/he will be responsible for working closely with the Grants Manager to manage and coordinate the project’s complex grants portfolio. S/he will report to the Grants Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Assisting Grants Manager in establishing and maintaining a grants management system for distribution of project grants:
•Assisting the grants manager ill issuing and managing the grants while following the project grant making policies and procedures:
•Helping Grants Manager in establishing the grant application evaluation committees and in evaluating of grant applications;
•As assigned by the Grants Manager. managing the grants provided by the project; monitor all phases of grant award process, ensuring compliance with donor and project requirements:
•Working with Grants Manager to reviewing all reimbursement requests for cost allowability. and ensuring that grantees arc in compliance with established administrative and financial policies, procedures, and sound business practices:
•Provides accounting support to JSI project staff, following policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:
•Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business management or related technical
fields;
•At least three years of relevant work experience. preferably with international projects:
•Excellent project management skills: and fluency in the English language:
•Good communications and interpersonal skills; ability to work as part of a team,
•Demonstrated proficiency using MSWord. Outlook, Excel, SharePoint. and grants management/CRM oriented software preferred.
