Job Summary / Role Description

• Instrument Field Engineer, ISE controls the Project documentation for Instrumentation discipline, while ensuring proper recording, filing and distribution.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Formulate a plan, review and analyze preventive maintenance strategy for the equipment instrumentation in order to achieve highest efficiency of the activities for reliable and safe operation;
• Provide technical advice during troubleshooting and corrective action of instrument breakdown or failures to find the root cause and best solution in order to restore the functionality back to normal;
• Attend to technical query by operation personnel and provide advice/solution according to best engineering practise to address issues which affect the operation;
• Write and review technical specifications for field instruments;
• Programming and pre-commissioning of field instruments, PLC-system and DCS-system

Knowledge & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (Hons) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (B.Eng).  

Experience:

• Minimum of seven (7) years of working experience in instrumentation maintenance in oil and gas sector, refinery.

Skills and Abilities:

• Fluent English;
• Excellent IT and analytical skills;
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills;
• Strong interpersonal, team-oriented skills. Self-motivation and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution;
• Attention to detail, and the ability to read and draft blueprints (as-builts), negotiation / customer relation skills, strong communications and interpersonal skills, leadership skills.
