Job Title: Trainee Assistant Teacher
Location: Kaduna

Job Description / Responsibilities
This is an entry-level Teaching Assistant Internship Program running for 12 months. The candidate will be responsible for:
- Helping Teachers with lesson preparation, including collecting materials and setting up equipment
- Reviewing lessons with pupil on a one-on-one basis or in small groups
- Supervising pupils in class, between classes and during recreation periods and field trips
- Tracking attendance
- Giving extra help to pupils who need special accommodations or are struggling with a concept
- Assisting pupils with special learning requirements, including disabilities or English as a second language students
- Attending teammeetings and parent conferences
- Collaborating with the Teacher to identifyissues and recommend solutions
- Observing state, school and class rules and regulations
Job Requirements
- Must have an interest in building a teaching career
- Degree Certification in Education or Additional qualification of PGDE
- Computer literacy
- A minimum of Second Class Lower in the relevant field.
- A minimum of one year of teaching experience.
- Excellent communication skills, including writing, public speaking and interpersonal conversation
- Great organization and planning skills
- Ability to engage students of all learning levels and grade levels
- Patience and empathy
- Compassionate, positive and encouraging attitude.
