Job Title: General Manager - Fertilizer & Rice Milling (GM-FRM)
Location: Zaria, Kaduna
Sector: Fertilizer & Rice Milling
Qualifications & Other Requirements
- First Degree in Business Administration or related field
- Any other academic or professional qualification in agriculture or related field will be an added advantage
- Minimum of 8 years of plant management experience in fertilizer blending or rice milling production
- Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
- Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
- Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes
- Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
- Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
- Strong management skills, with ability to take charge
- Must be a hands-on plant manager
- Analytical knowledge, structured problem-solving skills and expertise in management systems
- Proven leadership, communication and teamwork skills with demonstrated abilities to both work collaboratively
- Strategically contribute to the system development to minimize product failure or reprocess to reduce cost of poor quality and improve customer satisfaction
- Adaptable to changing priorities and capable of working efficiently under pressure
