Job Title: Executive Secretary to the General Manager
Department: Administration
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers State
Main Purpose of the Job
To provide high quality management and administrative assistance to the Executive Director of the company.
Job Profile
- Manage and coordinate the activities of the executive director
- Manage the executive director’s diary and appointments, ensuring effective use of time and preparation of necessary paper work in advance
- The candidate must be able to review legal documents and identify underlying clauses
- The candidate must be smart, well organized and meticulous in handling official documents
- Filter incoming calls, sorting, filtering, redirecting and taking actions as appropriate.
- Preparing and editing correspondence, developing reports and presentations.
- Managing projects and conducting research
Qualifications and Skills level:
- Must have experience in the legal profession, a degree in law will be an added advantage
- Must have worked in a law firm, preferably as a confidential secretary
- Must have 3-4 years experience
- Must be between the ages of 25-35
- Good experience in Microsoft applications (Basic and Advanced)
- Other related qualifications will be an added advantage
Knowledge and Skills
- Ability to work own initiative and minimal supervision
- Must have an organized approach to work
- Ability to manage heavy workload and at times conflicting priorities and multi-task
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Must have excellent communication skills; both orally and written
- The candidate must be smart and intelligent
- Must be able to pay attention to detail
