Job Description
- Drive long distances to deliver goods to customers
- Load and unload cargo
- Record cargo deliveries
- Refuel and clean vehicle
- Report road incidents to the dispatcher
- Follow traffic laws
- Inspect trucks and record issues
- Follow accident procedures
- Drive tractor-trailer combination trucks in and between cities and over long distances to deliver products, livestock, or materials
- Supervise freight loading and unloading, secure the freight to prevent damage, and ensure that freight weight limits are not exceeded. They are also required to maintain trip logs.
