Job Title: Truck Driver

Location: Satelite, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Driving assigned trucks and transporting materials to specific destinations
• Prepare trucks for operation by liaising with various department heads and maintaining schedule
• Maintaining safe operating and clean appearance of trucks, complying with operational policies, procedures all state and local driving regulations
• Process and complete all necessary paperwork concerning deliveries, pickup and returns and willing to adhere to the organisations dress-code whilst working
• Keep company vehicles clean and orderly by maintaining the visual appearance, cleanliness and safety
• Carrying out inspections for assigned trucks and ensuring vehicles are fit before going on assigned trips by inspecting for mechanical items and safety issues
• Able to work a flexible work schedule which indicates regular night shift & weekend shifts
• Take responsibility of assigned truck and become proactive in performing preventative maintenance, also notifying the organization of any abnormalities with trucks before heading to specified destinations
• Notify the office of any accidents or damage to the vehicle immediately
• Following through proposed routes to specific destinations with the aim of saving time and organisations resources
• Always observing safety and traffic rules whilst in motion
• Skilled ability to manoeuvre trucks into loading and unloading positions
• Prompt reports on defects, accidents or violations is required

Requirements

• Candidates should possess an SSCE qualification with 5 - 10 years work experience.
• Proven work experience as a truck driver (Mack and Owoo trucks is an added advantage)
• Ability to drive long hours on Nigerian roads
• Valid Federal and Lagos state driver's license
• Candidates must be willing to provide employment recommendations
• Must possess a valid Federal driver’s license and Lagos state driver’s license
