W-Holistic Business Solutions - Our client, a courier company seeks to recruit a qualified individual to fill the position of Cost and Financial Accountant.
Job Title: Cost and Financial Accountant
Location: Lagos
Responsibilities
- Accountable for the ongoing analysis of process constraints, target costing projects, margin analysis, and tracing costs back to underlying activities.
- Generate and analyze monthly financial statements.
- Prepare monthly analysis of financial performance of business segments.
- Coordinate physical inventory counts and cycle counts
- Investigate cycle counting variances and resolve issues
- Update standard costs in the bill of materials
- Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies
- Validate the cost of services as part of the month-end close
- Accumulate and apply overhead costs as required by generally accepted accounting principles
- Construct and monitor those cost-effective data accumulation systems needed to provide an appropriate level of costing information to management.
- Ensure compliance with organizational financial policy as well as statutory financial requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum of B.Sc. in any accounting or administrative discipline
- Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA etc will be an added advantage
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in a related position
- Proficiency in financial accounting & reporting, including external statutory reporting and audit
- Prior experience in cost and financial accounting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Trustworthiness, discretion & confidentiality
Remuneration
Salary: 1,200,000 - 1,440,000 per annum
