Adexen Recruitment Agency is mandated by a leading company in power generation to recruit a Contracts Manager. The contracts manager will be covering the North and West Africa region and also South East Europe.

Job Description
  • The primary responsibilities in this area will be the provision of support to the Managing Directors, Area Directors, and Operations managers to ensure that all contracts are administered as agreed and that payments are met in a timely manner and that all insurance and guarantees are in place throughout the duration of the contracts. In addition this role would require the provision of pre and post contract support to the Commercial Director on bids and contractual matters.
Job Accountabilities/Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the correct and timely invoicing for all projects is maintained
  • Close follow up with client to ensure timely payments
  • Support the Commercial Director in the analysis of risk and contract drafting for new contract and contract extension to ensure that no unacceptable or unauthorised indemnities or guarantees are given or risks accepted, adequate protection exists over the company's assets and adequate security is obtained to secure payment under each contract in accordance with risk management policy, taxation and currency risks are properly addressed.
  • Formulate, process and finalise insurance claims in a timely manner
  • Ensure that all sites manage finances consistently and report on a weekly basis
  • Manage weekly cash forecasts from projects and ensure that each site has adequate funds available
  • Support the Managing Directors, Area Directors and Operations Managers to resolve contractual disputes with the client
  • Prepare monthly project running hours and maintain the relevant KPI’s
  • Ensure that all project filing and archive materials are stored in a correct manner
  • Ensure all management are informed on a monthly basis of correspondence with each client
  • Comply with standards of risk management within the framework established by the company
  • Place a strong emphasis on health, operational safety and environmental protection. It is a requirement and moral obligation of each employee to be actively committed and accountable for compliance to the Health, Safety & Environmental policies, operating procedures and compliance to local legislation.
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field
  • Over 5 years relevant experience of Commercial and Contractual management
  • Contract review/drafting experience required
  • Experience working in an international environment
  • Willingness to travel
