Job Description
Responsible for the development and effective implementation of Management Information Systems and Information Technology Solutions for the organization
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- A good first degree or its equivalent from a reputable University in Computer Science or Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
- Post Graduate qualification in ICT or related fields shall be an added advantage
- Certification, membership of ICT, Management or related bodies
- Knowledge of Database, Oracle, Statistical/epidemiological tools such as SPSS, Epiinfo, etc.
- Attendance of related Courses, Workshops, Seminars, etc.
- Considerable competence in a managerial or professional field in order to understand and apply advanced policies, practices, concepts or principles
- A solid understanding of networking environment concept
- Good understanding of principles of routing, client/server programming, design of network-wide file system layouts
- Good knowledge of modern languages and tools
- Prior knowledge of UNIX and Windows NT
- Ability to formulate and implement IT strategy and start-up IT procedures, processes and system control
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Minimum of 8 years post qualification experience, 3 of which must be in management position of an IT Department
