Adexen Recruitment Agency is mandated by a multinational construction company to recruit a Workshop and Maintenance Manager for one of its operations in Nigeria

Job Description
  • The Workshop Maintenance manager will be in charge of maintenance and repair of construction equipments, responsible for the flawless performance on Turnkey Building and Construction Projects and Commercial Contracts accomplished on time, within planned profit margins.
  •  
  • Planning, organizing and supervising of maintenance and operation of heavy duty construction equipments, machineries and vehicles.
  • Preparation of Daily Project Review (DPR) on the usage of fuel, materials and the consumables to the management
  • Coordination with Stores, PQS and Purchasing Department on the availability and stock level of materials to prevent down-time and to meet target.
  • Organize and supervise preventive maintenance activities in order to optimize usage of equipment and machineries.
  • Reduces benefit administration/compensation cost by ensuring strict adherence and compliance to safety rules and procedures by the staff.
  • Ensure provision of technical support to the construction team to maximize financial recovery and ensure a first class fleet repairs and maintenance record.
  • Oversees operation, usage and maintenance of site facilities such as Bore Hole for the provision of water for the project and domestic purposes, Generator to serve as back up for electricity from the national grid.
  • Preparation of maintenance and engineering activities on site.
  • Preparation of workshop budget proposal and expenditure in a timely manner.
  • Preparation of workshop weekly progress report, bi-weekly progress report and monthly machinery status report to the management
Requirements
  • First degree in any Mechanical Engineering field
  • Minimum of 10 years' of Construction Engineering Experience in a similar roleS
  • Good Communication, Presentation, Interpersonal and Time Management Skills
  • Good knowledge of fleet and construction equipment maintenance
  • Detail Oriented, Articulate, Proactive, Self Confidence.
