Our Client, an International Construction Company is looking for the services of qualified individuals to work at their Lagos project:
Job Title: Quality Officer
Location: Lagos
Reporting to: Project QA Manager / Project QC Manager
Job Summary
- Ensures that the quality of work on site is consistent with the company’s policy requirements together with national and international standards.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- To lead the team of QC Inspectors for monitoring the on‐going daily construction activities.
- Reviewing the construction method statements and making comments per project specifications, procedures & ITPs.
- Regular site visits for foreseeing the potential deficiencies based on his physical experience to share with construction crew and guidance to QC Inspectors.
- Coordination with agencies for inspection & testing requirements. Ensuring the availability of QC Inspector during any operations.
- Initiating internal Log Book Entries to construction crew for effective implementation of project quality plan, ITP's, written procedures, project specifications, IFC drawings etc.
- Emphasizing on the control of documents and records by advising the document controllers, QC Inspectors.
- Conducting routine internal meetings with QC inspectors for further vigilance to the potential problems which must be tackled accordingly to avoid non‐conformities.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
- Complies with the highest level of safety during all stages of work to avoid any type of incidents and or accidents. Take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others in the workplace.
- Complies with all statutory requirements connected with the implementation of project.
Qualifications/Requirements and Experience
- Graduate Bachelor of Mechanical or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 to 10 years civil inspection experience which shall contain as minimum 3 Years directly relating to supervision of construction activities in the contract scope of work (Oil, Gas, petrochemical projects, infrastructure, and communication).
- PMP‐Project Management Professional Primavera course version 6 or later version (an advantage).
- TRAINING: ISO 9001 Training.
- Computer Knowledge: Knowledge of MS Word, Excel & Outlook, and Auto Cad is advantage.
Other Requirements:
- Minimum - 25 years old.
- Maximum - 32 years old.
- Physically strong and healthy.
- Does not suffer from vertigo.
Working Condition:
- Can work with less supervision and under pressure.
