Column Trust Limited - An indigenous company has an outsourcing/Training Division that specializes in the provision and management of contract staff in all categories as well as the selection and placement of temporary staff for corporate organizations (including The Banks, Oil and Gas, services Telecoms, Manufacturing, Construction & Allied Industry, Hospitals Healthcare Companies and Multilateral Organizations).

Our Client, an International Construction Company is looking for the services of qualified individuals to work at their Lagos project:

Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location:
Lagos
Reporting to: General Manager‐Planning and Cost Control

Job Description
  • To manage all quantities relating to projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures.
  • To seek to minimize the costs of project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
  • Valuing completed work and arranging payments
  • Review project man‐hours and the allocation of man‐hours in conjunction with planning and cost control on a weekly basis.
  • Accurately measure the amount of materials needed.
  • Review manpower is needed to finish the construction.
  • Review and measure allocated work to subcontractors and their reported physical progress.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Complies with the Project and Company safety procedures and regulations.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in Company sponsored training or seminars opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining professional networks and participates in professional organizations.
Qualifications/Requirements and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree/HND in quantity surveying, construction or civil engineering from a recognized University or Colleges.
  • 4 to 10 years' experience in quantity surveyor role.
  • Computer Knowledge: Microsoft office
Other Requirements:
  • Minimum - 24 years old.
  • Maximum - 40 years old.
  • Physically strong and healthy.
Working Condition:
  • Can work with minimum supervision and under pressure.
