Column Trust Limited - An indigenous company has an outsourcing/Training Division that specializes in the provision and management of contract staff in all categories as well as the selection and placement of temporary staff for corporate organizations (including The Banks, Oil and Gas, services Telecoms, Manufacturing, Construction & Allied Industry, Hospitals Healthcare Companies and Multilateral Organizations).

Our Client, an International Construction Company is looking for the services of qualified individuals to work at their Lagos project:

Job Description
  • Involved in all aspects of construction project management, form pre-construction activities through final building commissioning.
  • This is a key position that will help ensure all contractual provisions related to the project is followed, monitored and closed out.
  • They will play a key role in managing and updating the project management system, working closely with the project management team accounting and other groups.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the negotiation, execution and monitoring/compliance of all contracts.
  • Daily update of the project management system with key dates/ milestones/documents and communications.
  • Interpret contract provisions to hele resolve claim san questions submitted by contractors.
  • Handle all paperwork required to obtain approval of work not previously covered in a contract; process and obtain invoice.
  • Monitors compliance to contract requirements ensuring all conditions are satisfied before approval of the final invoice.
  • Process requests for payments, purchase orders, invoices from vendors and similar documents.
  • Assist project managers in maintenance of budgets and analysis of variances to budget.
  • Initiates and /or conducts meetings with contractors concerning contractual problems as requested by the project manager.
  • Establishes and updates records of all correspondence related to contract activity.
  • Assists in compiling and preparing big documents and bidders list, including inquiry preparations, request for bids and recommendations for award of contract.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Complies with the highest level of safety during all stages of project execution to avoid any type of incidents and or accidents.
  • Take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others in the workplace.
  • Complies with all statutory requirements connected with the implementation of project.
Qualifications/Requirements and Experience
  • A four-year bachelors' degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5-10 years' work experience providing contract administration for high rise buildings.
  • Experience managing all aspects of work flow and contracts regarding construction projects, including requests for information, change orders, purchase orders, lien waivers/releases.
Computer Knowledge:
  • Strong software experience, with preference for working knowledge of MS Project, Spitfire and Microsoft Office.
Other Requirements:
  • Minimum - 25 years old.
  • Maximum - 40 years old.
  • Physically strong and healthy.
Working Condition:
  • Can work with minimum supervision and under pressure.
Certification:
  • Can work with less supervision, extreme weather condition and under pressure.
