Column Trust Limited - An indigenous company has an outsourcing/Training Division that specializes in the provision and management of contract staff in all categories as well as the selection and placement of temporary staff for corporate organizations (including The Banks, Oil and Gas, services Telecoms, Manufacturing, Construction & Allied Industry, Hospitals Healthcare Companies and Multilateral Organizations).

Our Client, an International Construction Company is looking for the services of qualified individuals to work at their Lagos project:

Job Description
  • Responsible in supervising all land/field surveying activities ensuring best practices are implemented alongside with the quality assurance and involvement in the development related to land surveying scope of the project which includes calculations of latitude, longitude, angles and areas and other information for map making.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plans, organizes, coordinate and directs work of survey crew engaged in surveying land's surface to determine precise location and measurements of points, elevations, lines, areas and outline of areas for construction.
  • Review, analyse work methods and research/examine previous survey evidence, maps, deeds, physical evidence and other records to obtain data needed for surveys.
  • Keep detailed and accurate records of crew activities, field survey data and develop new data from photogram metric records.
  • Keeps accurate notes, records, and sketches to describe and certify work performed.
  • Determines methods and procedure for establishing or re‐establishing survey control.
  • Study operational problems and recommend changes, coordinates findings with work of engineering and architectural personnel, clients, and other concerned staffs of the project.
  • Reports on events and activities which affect the survey and assumes legal responsibility for completed work.
  • Monitors new technology and evaluates and recommends purchase of new survey equipment and needed supplies.
  • Oversee the measurements of completed construction work to determine “as built quantities for the project which are used in computing the cost of the project.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Complies with, at all times, with all Company safety procedures.
  • Attends training courses / seminars, etc. as required by the company.
Qualifications/Requirements and Experience
  • University / College Graduate or equivalent.
  • At least 3 to 5 years experience in the construction industry of which the last 3 years must have been as land Surveyor.
  • International experience is an advantage.
Other Requirements:
  • Minimum - 30 years old.
  • Maximum - 50 years old.
  • Physically strong and healthy.
Working Condition:
  • Can work with minimum supervision and under pressure.
