Our client in the micro-finance bank industry is seeking to fill this position:
Job Title: Head of Accounts
Location: Lagos
Reports to: MD/CEO
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining the Organizations general ledger system which contains information pertaining to every account and transaction and also ensuring the accuracy of transactions included therein.
- Responsible for preparing weekly, monthly and annual financial reports for management use.
- Ensuring security of financial information by completing database backups.
- Ensuring proper and timely rendering of returns to the appropriate authorities.
- Liaise with the external auditors and ensure smooth conduct of the annual external audit.
- Management of a team of account officers and take primary responsibility for developing, sustaining and enhancing relationships with customers along with meeting financial, brand, and change objectives of the microfinance bank.
- Manage budgets responsibly and accurately on a monthly and annual basis.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- HND/B.SC in Banking and Finance, Accounting, Business Administration and any related fields.
- MBA or any post graduate degree is an added advantage.
- 5-8 years of experience.
- ICAN, ACA or ACCA certificate or any other professional qualification.
- Possession of Micro-finance bank certification will be an added advantage
- Excellent report generation skills and proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft word, Power Point and Excel spreadsheet.
- Candidate should not be more than 35 years of age.
