We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Production Manager

Location: Ota, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Production Manager would lead the production team and report to the Head of Operations
  • He/She would ensure exceptional quality of products that delight our clients/customers at all times in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and ensure adhere to the standard operating procedure by team members
  • Product development
  • Production data analysis
  • Establish and ensure quality standards
  • Production planning
  • Estimate costs and prepare budgets
  • Assessment of project and resource needs
  • Create work schedules for the production team
  • Oversee production processes
  • Ensure output meets quality standards
  • Make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification and procurement
  • Establish Health and Safety standards in line with existing regulations
  • Maintain adequate and safe storage facility
  • Establish and implement an effective and efficient stock management system(raw materials and finished products).
  • Ensure control and disposal of waste items in line with existing regulations of the environmental Protection Agency(at the three tiers of government)
  • Assist Human Resources during recruitment exercise and in the training of new employees
  • Complete performance appraisals
  • Coach employees
  • Communicate any relevant company information and updates to procedures to personnel
  • Enforce company rules and regulations
  • Handle conflict resolution and performance management with the support of HR team
  • Ensure the workplace is safe and clean through task delegation and educating personnel
  • Train personnel on new equipment and review all equipment and safety procedures based on necessity and scheduled reviews

KPIs:

  • Generate periodic production/project reports
  • Generate periodic quality control and assurance reports
  • Generate periodic stock reports
  • Generate periodic safety reports
  • Generate reports on research
  • Generate reports on training of team members
  • Generate reports on cost-saving measures

Requirements

  • Educational / Professional Qualification: B.Sc. / HND in Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Science Laboratory Technology etc Professional certification would be an added advantage
  • Work experience: 7+ years work experience as a Production Manager in Chemical and Allied Industry-Soap Manufacturing Company
  • Age: 40-45years

Salary
N180,000 - N220,000 monthly.
