AB Microfinance Bank Nigeria Limited is recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Accountant / Financial Analyst
Location: Lagos
Main Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly branch budgetary control and performance.
- Preparation of overall annual budget of the bank, including the assumptions and the ratios.
- Preparation of 5 years business plan and other short term/medium term projections/forecast.
- Assist in the preparation and review of all monthly and quarterly reports to shareholders, regulators, refinancers, etc.
- Supervise the preparation of ALCO documents, minutes and participate in the ALCO meetings.
- Preparation of branch business plan and feasibility report for branch expansion
- Follow up on budget implementations and limits as it relates to each department and branch(es), investigates variances between budget and actual.
- Monitor and follow up on the financial covenants and bench marks for the re-financiers and regulators.
- Perform financial control functions.
- Responsible for financial analysis and stress-testing including the sensitivity analysis.
- Prepare long- term, short- term projections and forecasts for the bank (annual budget, 5 years business plan etc)
- Manage refinancing and funding sources
- Develop and manage liquidity management tools
- Establish and manage branch budgetary controls, performance and reviews
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and other financials
- Review and approve all reconciliation and schedules such as bank statements, schedule of accrued charges, prepayments etc.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of B.Sc./HND in Accounting/Finance/Economics
- Possess ACA, ACCA professional certification
- Possess a minimum of 4 years similar experience in a bank or related financial institution
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Good knowledge of IFRS
- Strong accuracy and analytical skills
- Strong ability to make projections and forecasts
- Excellent communication and organization skills
