Choicy Nigeria Limited, a manufacturing company located in Lagos requires the services of a qualified candidate to fill this position.
Job Title: Cashier
Location: Lagos
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers as they arrive at the store and provide them with information
- Respond to customers’ records and resolve their issues
- Enter transactions in the cash register and provide customers with the total
- Issue receipts and change to customers
- Count money at the end and beginning of each shift
- Process exchanges and refunds
- Ensure that all checkout counters have enough cash
- Process credit card and check payments
- Issue stamps on contract
- Perform the duties of sales representative when required
- Maintain periodic reports and spreadsheets
- Ensure management of daily cash accounts
- Maintain periodic transaction reports
- Ensure maintenance of check out areas
- Resolve customer complaints in a proactive manner
- Open and close deals
- Train other staff members to work as cashiers
- Maintain knowledge of store inventory and sales activities
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A minimum of BSc / HND
- Ability to work independently under general supervision with considerable latitude for initiative and independent judgment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including active listening skills and skill in presenting findings and recommendations.
- Extensive skill in using a computer with word processing.
- Skill in collecting and analyzing complex data, evaluating information and systems, and drawing logical conclusions.
- Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with co-workers, staff and external contacts, and to work effectively in a professional team environment.
- An ideal person who will be well organized and calm to help make both workers and visitors feel at ease and welcomed once they cross the threshold of the company's office.
- Candidates must be residing in Lagos and qualified candidates would receive reply within three days of application.
