Job Title: Factory Cost Accountant
Location: Lagos
Job Description
The cost accountant position is accountable for the ongoing analysis of process constraints, target costing margin analysis, and tracing costs back to underlying activities. The cost accountant must also construct and monitor those cost-effective data accumulation systems needed to provide an appropriate level of costing information to management. He is also responsible for all account payables and receivables.
- Ability to apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles & Cost Accounting Standards
- Must be able to adapt to new and different computer programs and software to enable efficient data gathering and analysis
- Ability to research, compile, analyze and interpret cost data with good written, verbal communication and collaborative skills
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office products with ability to analyze and reconcile complex accounts and reserves
- Strong organizational collaborative skills and ability to work independently under minimal supervision
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting/Finance
- Experience of 3 or more years in related field is an additional advantage
