Our client is looking for a talented Information Technology/Network Engineer to lead a dynamic team into the next phase of success for the business.

Job Objectives
The Information Technology Manager reports to Head of Finance and Admin and provides hardware and software maintenance, training and consultation, and recommendations about future planning and development of resources. Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner will ensure maximum access to and implementation of technology services and resources.

H/She would also be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting LAN/WAN network connectivity services while also managing the company’s relationship with vendors.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Design, plan, and implement all aspects of the network infrastructure, supporting medium to large size offices; Collaborate with other team members and groups to identify and develop scalable network designs, solutions, and policy recommendations; Ensure continued smooth operation of the global network infrastructure, working to minimize network downtime and the effects of downtime users by scheduling needed maintenance or upgrades to provide minimal disruption of service to users.
  • Proactively monitor and analyze network performance to detect and resolve issues, and perform stringent network testing before implementing solutions; Support internal application groups by identifying and presenting network-impacting requirements to other members of the network engineering team.
  • Perform configuration, IOS upgrades, and deployment of routers and switches for all store locations; Plan and maintain the highly technical, logical network configuration of routers, switches, ASA and Checkpoint firewalls, and access points associated with network traffic.
  • Lead network projects, including the installation of new network hardware or software, and network configuration and design; Support the Help Desk with troubleshooting circuit, equipment and network issues
  • Monitor, respond, and provide resolution for all network trouble tickets, utilizing Service Now ticketing management system; Perform on-going optimization of the network to ensure adequate capacity, availability, and scalability; Design solutions and alternatives that meet documented requirements and delivery dates
  • Present solutions and make recommendations to departmental leadership; Document timely status updates and accurately document problem resolution; Research and evaluate emerging technology for future applications
  • Manage information technology and computer systems
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of information systems and electronic data processing (EDP)
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for electronic data processing and computer systems operations and development
  • Meet with managers to discuss system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines
  • Control the computer systems budgets and expenditures
  • Ensure technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating system
  • Be familiar with network operating system
  • Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
  • 5+ years of experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco network routers and switches for medium and large size locations and enterprises; CCNP required, with the desire to work towards CCDP, CCIE
  • Demonstrated experience with: Implementing and supporting medium to large enterprise-sized Cisco LANS, exhibiting a proven understanding of established enterprise routing schemes and protocols, and VLAN requirements for proper management of varying user requirements and LAN services like printing; Designing and implementing QOS; Supporting Cisco wide area networks, MPLS technology, and troubleshooting circuit issues including
  • Broadband connectivity; Supporting Site-to-Site VPN and Application Load Balancer; Supporting Aruba and Cisco Enterprise Wi-Fi solutions; Installing, configuring and upgrading Cisco ACE, Cisco ASA, Checkpoint, and Juniper VPN and Firewall Appliances
  • Preferred experience with: PCI/PII; IDS/IPS; APM; Designing and implementing Business Continuation Plans; Troubleshooting multi-vendor routers and switches;
  • Ability to manage WAN providers and the technologies to deliver solutions to failures as well as the proven ability to handle a dynamic workload and prioritize projects and tasks
  • Excellent troubleshooting abilities with strict attention to detail; Self-motivated with a strong willingness to learn on the job and through self-study; Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and concentrate on detailed information in a fast-paced demanding work environment; Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment
  • Ready to relocate to south-east
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills; Disciplined time management skills; Highly dependable with a strong work ethic
