IAN Associates is recruiting to fill the position of:
Job Title: Accounts Payable Accountant
Location: Lagos
Job Responsibilities
- Manage general systems and procedures for accounts payables and disbursements for Head Office and subsidiaries
- Review and verify invoices and check requests, set invoices up for payment, enter and upload invoices into system
- Track expenses and process users expense reports, prepare and process electronic transfers and payments, prepare and perform check runs including payment risk assessments
- Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records, reconcile accounts payable transactions, prepare analysis of accounts
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and in compliance with accounting processes
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues and answer queries, maintain vendor files, correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
- Produce monthly reports, assist with month end closing, provide supporting documentation for audits
Qualifications
- 7 plus years’ experience in finance with 5 years as a Financial Accountant
- First degree in Accounting or related discipline. Master’s degree is an advantage
- Professional qualification is compulsory. ACA/ACCA
- Proficiency in accounting software / ERP
