Job Title: Specialist, Sales Reporting Analysis

Job Summary

Collect, analyze, evaluate and report sales data (including strengths and gaps) to provide inputs into the management reporting process.

Principal Functions
  • Conduct daily/weekly/monthly analysis and reporting of sales performance in all sales channels
  • Compile and analyse sales performance data in order to evaluate business performance for the Channel Sales division.
  • Interpret sales analyses to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Provide daily/weekly/monthly reporting needs for Sales Distribution, Alternate Channels & Sales Support and other teams within the Channel sales Division
  • Prepare and communicate monthly targets for Distribution Partners (DPs), Trade Key Agents (TKAs), Virtual Airtime Distributors (VADs) & Sales Canvassers
  • Assist in monitoring and reporting key performance indicators and sales targets for the sales channels.
  • Liaise with the various Sales units, other Commercial divisions and Finance to receive up to date performance indices and records.
  • Prepare/compile agreed periodic sales activities, financial and performance reports.
  • Provide recommendations for, and facilitate the development and implementation of future reporting capabilities and enhancements.
  • Co-ordinate the complete sales reporting and forecasting process for all Channel Sales channels (Key Accounts, DP Regional Sales, 3rd Party etc).
  • Generate ad-hoc sales reports for impromptu meetings as required
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Manager, Sales Planning and Performance Measurement.
Educational Requirements
  • Three (3) to five (5) years post NYSC experience with at least 2 years in a reporting and analysis role.
Experience, Skills & Competencies
  • Good understanding of Microsoft office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Think-cell etc)
  • Good understanding of Channel Sales
  • Excellent communication skill.
  • Good planning and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and within assigned time lines.
