Since 1971, Family Health International (FHI) has been at the forefront of public health research and intervention programs in the developing countries. In collaboration with national governments, local communities and leading research institutions, FHI delivers services and conducts research in HIV/AIDS, other infectious diseases and reproductive health to improve the lives and well-being of some of the world's most vulnerable populations. In Nigeria, FHI is engaged in providing public health services and implementing programs in HIV/AIDS, TB, reproductive health, malaria, and health systems strengthening in partnership with the Government of Nigeria.

To strengthen our operations in the country, we are seeking qualified candidates for the following positions:

Web Content Management Officer

The Web Content Management Officer will work within the communications and knowledge Management Department to implement and maintain content management for FHI and other associated websiites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in a stragtegic relationship management by ensuring that the contents of FHI Nigeria website meet the needs of the target audience.
  • Taking a lead role in maintaining and updating FHI website and all other associated websites.
  • Meet regularly with the editing, marketing and design teams to plan and develop site content, style and appearance.
  • Use web content management system to analyze website usage statistics.
  • Promote information about the website to target customers and partners.
  • Carry out quality assurance checks on web contents.
  • Contribute to improving the visibility of FHI and its publications on the web.
  • Contribute to continuing development of FHI website and other associated websites, especially the pressroom, in terms of communication content, structure, and design.
  • Copyedit and proof read all web contents to ensure appriopriate dissemenation of information to FHI stakeholders.
  • Organize qualitative analyses of the website and its use by media and the general public.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to maintain and develop the master content calendar for all web properties.
  • Coordinate web projects across departments.
  • Create, develop and manage content for the organization's web presence (requires working with content management software)
  • Develop SOPs for current tasks and collaborate to develop and implement a new dissemenination platform.

Minimum Requirement

  • University degree or equivalent with 3 years experience preferably in communications, content management, or information management.
  • Experience with web technology and web page template generation
  • Knowledge of web auditory tools.
  • Relevant work experience in public relations and working knowledge of the print and electronic media.
  • Exceptional writing skills, both online and offline.
  • Excellent communication, team working and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
