DKT International is one of the largest private providers of family planning and reproductive health products and services in the developing world.

Job Title: Digital Media Executive (Hausa)

Location: Lagos

Job Description

• DKT Nigeria is set to recruit a Digital Media Executive (Hausa). We have a challenging and inspirational mission to improve the family planning and HIV/AIDS prevention in Nigeria through contraceptive social marketing.
• We are looking for the brightest, self-motivated and driven university graduate who will develop and promote content to increase DKT’s reach and engagement with northern-based online audiences especially those in Kano, Kaduna, Nasarawa, Niger, Sokoto and Bauchi states.
• The successful applicant will perform this role in collaboration with the Marketing and Programs departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing dedicated websites and social media pages in Hausa
• Creating and promoting content to attract northern based audiences
• Responding to Hausa/English enquiries from priority states
• Directing social media referrals to the call centre- Honey & Banana Connect (Call 55059)
• Managing relationships with Hausa social media influencers
• Leveraging stories and insights from DKT’s northern-based teams
• Promoting DKT’s achievements in priority states to northern audiences
• Providing evidence-based recommendations to improve online visibility and reach

Qualifications / Criteria

• Must possess a First Degree
• Must possess 2-3 years relevant experience in Digital media.
• Must be able to fluently speak as well as write well in Hausa Language.
• Must not be older than 30 years of age.
• Must have enough understanding of English language to translate communications in English to Hausa.
• Capacity to use digital communications channels.
• Must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme.
• Must be capable of shadowing more experienced staff to learn on the job and pick up valuable knowledge to support DKT Nigeria’s operations.
• Must possess excellent: communication, inter-personal, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.
