The American University of Nigeria (AUN) was established in 2003 by Nigeria's former Vice President His Excellency, Atiku Abubakar along with other local and international statesmen and academic leaders. The institution was conceived as Africa's first Development University. Its mission is to pioneer service learning and build leaders who will be prepared to tackle societal concerns. The American University of Nigeria, Yola, is seeking for a Grade 3 Teacher. This position is a local one open to indigenous and/or legal residents of Nigeria.:
Job Title: Grade 3 Teacher

Position Summary
- The position shall develop and implement lesson plans that meet the requirements of Grade 3 pupils in accordance to the guidelines of the University.
- This involves using the appropriate teaching style and material/equipment to strengthen the learning process of the pupils.
- The incumbent shall provide pupils with appropriate learning activities to help fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical and social growth while establishing effective teacher - pupil, teacher - parents' relationship and communicate with parents to discuss pupil's growth and interpret school program.
Position Requirements
- B.ED OR BA in any related discipline, PGDE preferred.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Language.
- 3-5 years of experience in teaching in a multi-cultural environment.
- Must be computer literate.

- Ability to create a healthy classroom environment.

- Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience and job classification as approved by the University.
