- Decagon is looking for a Senior PHP Developer to develop ideas, strategize concepts and extend the company’s skill base in emerging technologies.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Writing back-end code and building efficient PHP modules.
- Troubleshooting application and code issues.
- Integrating data storage solutions.
- Able to translate UIs into markup languages. HTML & CSS.
- Finalizing back-end features and testing web applications.
- Updating and altering application features to enhance performance
Skills / Requirements
- At least 5 years experience as a hands-on developer in a senior developer role.
- Experience in the practical application of a range of software development methodologies.
- Excellent PHP7 & Javascript.
- Understanding of object-oriented PHP programming.
- Previous experience creating scalable applications.
- Proficient with code versioning tools including Git, Mercurial, CVS, and SVN.
- Excellent MVC web applications experience.
- Strong Enterprise Architecture experience.
- A thorough, broad, innovative knowledge and understanding of the internet and emerging technologies and standards.
- Attention to detail and being able to work with deadlines.
- Confidence to present ideas to both colleagues and clients.
- Ability to work on several projects at one time and manage workflow.
- Documenting functional and non-functional technical requirements.
- Keep up-to-date with latest trends, innovations, cultures and new technical developments/changes within the industry.
