We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head, Compliance and Legal Services

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Review and draft contracts, agreements and internal policies and ensure that they are in compliance with all statutory or legal requirements
• Continuously monitor compliance with statutory obligations and advise management accordingly
• Serve as liaison for all regulatory bodies as well as maintaining relationships with relevant legal bodies and trade associations
• Maintain company's intellectual property rights and trademarks – ensure registrations, renewals and compliance at all times
• Manage all Company’s real estate/landed properties – ensure payment of relevant charges, perfection, and registration of title for company properties
• Provide commercial legal advice and solution for different aspects of the business
• Keep company's legal records of commercial agreements, permits, licenses and legal transactions with third parties and ensures the prompt renewal of expired contracts
• Manage litigation and liaise with external lawyers, review the progress of anticipated and outstanding litigation
• Review and provide strategic legal advice on documents and issues for all SBU’s
• Review and advise management on legal implications of internal policies and procedures
• Access the overall Control Environment.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor of Law Degree
• At least 5 years of work experience.
