Job Title: Tailor

Location: Yaba, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• Tailors are responsible for constructing, altering, repairing, or modifying garments for customers based on their specifications, needs, and preferences.
• They take customers' measurements, assist in fabric selection, and arrange fittings to determine whether additional adjustments are needed.

Job Description
Duties should contain a variety of functions and roles including:

• Agreeing a style and fabric with the customer.
• Working out how long it will take and the cost of producing the garment.
• Producing a pattern, either by hand or using computer aided design.
• Sewing garments.
• Fitting the garment and marking any alterations.
• Creating a design (either by adapting an existing pattern or developing a new design).
• Conducting market research to identify new trends, fabrics and techniques, and seeking design inspiration.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Design or Fine Arts or a College Degree in Fashion Design or related field.
• x years design experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to meet multiple deadlines.
• Availability to travel for research and product development.
• Ability to do sketches by hand.
• Excellent design and conceptual skills.
• Excellent sense of style and color.

Salary
N40,000 - N50,000 Weekly.
