Job Title: Proposal Engineer
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Work directly with customers to understand their processes and develop the best solutions for their requirements
- Work with our engineers and designers to develop and quote cost effective solutions
- Recognize and understand the customers' needs, make suggestions for possible solutions and quickly develop budgetary numbers. Accuracy is essential
- Technology research and analysis
- Cost analysis and estimating
- Develop value added propositions and proposal writing
- Responsible for issuing technical and commercial submittals for tenders before closing dates
- Responsible for following up open orders until delivery and invoice issuance
- Respond timely and accurately to customers' requests for information and requests for pricing
- Manage inquiry and order log sheet
- Immediately report any loss incurred after order placement by customers
- Maintain full up to date technical awareness of the products
- Assist and reply customer with technical clarification if needed
- Additional duties may be assigned as required
Job Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Minimum of one year experience (post nysc) as a proposal engineer
- Strong technical writing skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Highly organized, excellent problem solver, strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Very good command of English and MS Office
- Able to meet fixed deadlines and manage under pressure
- Professional efficiency in managing multiple requests/projects in parallel
- Able to build and deliver presentations.
