Job Description
- Reporting to the Precommissioning/Commissioning Manager, the Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for coordinating and assisting all necessary concerned parties relevant to precommissioning work and completion of all production systems.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Evaluating and specifying performance criteria and installation requirements for E&l fabrication and assembly work as well as pre-commissioning/SAT relevant.
- Review and identify additional information and details of SA standard P&IDs, Technical Data Sheet, reference engineering drawings and documentation to fulfil E&l erection/installation work completion planning and scheduling.
- Ensuring necessary HSE reviews are undertaken and identified actions completed.
- Supervise and train E&l team members as necessary.
- Receiving technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans for projects.
- Coordinating various technical aspects of work.
- Preparing specifications for purchase of materials and equipment, conducting Technical Bid Evaluation and summarize for purchasing.
- Inspect completed installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
- Reviewing and/or prepare precommissioning/ SAT package and procedure relevant.
- Contributing to the other disciplines on precommissioning/SAT, operating procedures and troubleshooting related to E&l portions.
- Providing pre-commissioning and SAT planning and scheduling.
- Reviewing pre-commissioning deliverables issued by sub-ordinates, sub-contractors and suppliers.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:
- A degree in Electrical/Electronic/Instrument & Control Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years experience in construction, precommissioning, Operation of Oii&Gas production platform, Wellhead Platform or marine vessels, Refinery Plant, Petrochemical Plant, power plants or related industry with automated systems based operation.
- Familiar with international engineering standards (IEC, NEC, ISA, BS, ASME, API,NFPA etc.) will be advantage.
- Good working with operation and knowledge of DCS, PLC, ESD and I or process control and Instrumentation, Pneumatic, Hydraulic Control Systems, Communication System and Electrical Systems.
- Proven qualified Fluent in English.
