Graphics Designer at a Fruit Processing and Distribution Company

We are a fruit processing, marketing, and distribution company based in Nigeria. We convert Nigeria’s abundant supply of tropical fruits that would have gone to waste into delicious snacks. We are on a mission to delight our customers with healthy snacks, and launching innovative processed fruit products.

We retail a range of dried fruit snacks across over 400 locations in Nigeria and have exported our products to Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, and Belgium.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Graphics Designer

Location: Yaba, Lagos

Job Summary

• As we increase our processing capacity as well as our global distribution, we seek an experienced graphics designer to shape the visual aspects of websites, books, magazines, product packaging, exhibitions and more.
• The Graphics Designer is responsible for defining requirements, visualizing and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts and photos.
• You’ll be the one to shape the visual aspects of websites, books, magazines, product packaging, exhibitions and more.

Job Responsibilities

• Study design briefs and determine requirements
• Schedule projects and define budget constraints
• Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
• Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
• Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand
• Use the appropriate colours and layouts for each graphic
• Work with copywriters and creative director to produce a final design
• Test graphics across various media
• Amend designs after feedback
• Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand

Requirements

• Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus
• 3 years of work experience.
• Exceptional communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong management and leadership skills
• Great organizational skills and a keen eye for details
• A keen eye for aesthetics and details
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
• Resilience under pressure and against deadlines
• Proven graphic designing experience
• Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
• Strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics.
