Human Leadership Resources - Our client, a leading Engineering Company, is expanding its operations and now seeks to recruit a suitable candidate to support the current business expansion in the organization in the position below:

Job Title: Director, Business Development

Location: Nigeria

Overview

  • The role will oversee existing divisions and report directly to The Chief Executive Officer. 
  • The candidate will be self-driven with the ability to operate with minimal supervision.
  • Veriflable demonstration of success in marketing to diverse sectors is required.

Responsibilities

  • The Director, BD will be part of the Leadership team overseeing day-to-day commercial operations. 

Other functions include but are not limited to:

  • Delivering on existing partnerships and establishing new partnerships.
  • Developing and implementing company-wide commercial strategies in line with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Taking responsibility for the entire revenue portfolio of the business.
  • Churning out strategies to penetrate new markets cutting across the verticals across the nation.
  • Supporting the Management in analyzing opportunities to better prioritize company investments and activities.

Qualifications

  • First Degree from a reputable institution
  • A postgraduate degree in Business, Management, Engineering or related disciplines from a highly reputable institution
  • Professional Certifications will be an advantage.

Experience:
The ideal candidate is expected to demonstrate a strong entrepreneurial and analytical mindset and good leadership skills in addition to:

  • Minimum of 15 years experience with the last 10 years engaging in direct sales.
  • Minimum of 5 years in Senior Management role.
  • Minimum of 5 years B2B / Corporate sales management experience.
  • Experience managing and developing professional staff.
  • Experience developing short-, medium-, and long-term plans to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Market research skills.
  • Good knowledge of ICT integrated solutions, OEMs and other hardware product sales will be an added advantage.
  • Government sales experience will be an advantage.
