Fadac Resources - Our client is a conglomerate company in Nigeria and other part of Africa, established over 40 years with ties in Asia and the Middle East. They are into FMCG products which includes; Tyres, Food and Beverages, and Paper.

They are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Company Secretary / Legal Officer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities

• Our client is in need of a candidate to handle all their company’s legal transactions, partnerships, and projects.Reviewing tenders for new business opportunities and advising the industry on the contractual and risks arising and suggested mitigations where available
• Drafting and negotiation of client contracts including service agreements, concession agreements, framework contracts, franchise agreements, leases and licences.
• Consulting and leading all industry legal processes such as mergers, compliance issues, transactions, partnerships, and lawsuits.
• Guide management on regulatory and compliance issues to ensure compliance with legal regulations.
• Evaluate new business partnerships with vendors and subcontractors.
• Represent the industry in legal proceedings.
• Design and oversee the company’s policy and position on legal matters.
• Protect the company against legal risks and violations.
• Examine the legal issues related to new products and services.
• Negotiate deals on behalf of the company.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law. (Masters in law will be an added advantage.)
• Licensed to practice law from the State Bar Association.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an FMCG industry at least 5 years total experience.
• Efficient and engaged work ethic and the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
• Highly analytical with a strong attention to detail.
• Outstanding managerial and negotiation skills.
