Job Title: Chief Executive Officer - Banc Corp Microfinance Bank
Location: Trade Fair Complex, Badagry Expressway - Lagos
Report Line: Group Chief Executive Officer & Board of Directors
Job Purpose
- The Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for providing strategic leadership in the Bank by advising the Board of directors and working with Management to establish long-term goals, strategies, plans, and policies to deliver shareholder value.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement the long-term business strategy of the business, ensure the company achieves its overall objectives efficiently and as cost-effectively as possible.
- Ensure that detailed reports and information are received by the Board of Directors, which will support their fiduciary and corporate governance responsibilities.
- Develop corporate and annual business plans and measure the success against short- and long-term goals.
- Conduct regular reviews to help reduce potential risks through industry and market changes.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations by guiding all functions of the business.
- Ensure that all the banks' communications and activities as investments and regulatory compliance are regularly and properly evaluated, monitored, and adequately secured.
- Constantly review transactions and ensure suspicious transactions are identified and appropriately reported to regulators.
- Create a functional marketing strategy to expand the company’s visibility and promote its products and services.
- Work closely with the sales team on sales strategy and approach to new businesses opportunities.
- Oversee financial reporting and budget implementations.
- Create and drive an innovation-focused business and work environment.
- Oversee performance management, employee development, and talent management.
- Stay up to date with the competitive landscape, customers, industry developments and standards, and business opportunities.
- Maintain and manage relationships with customers, government, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure adequate information flow to investors, regulators, and other relevant stakeholders.
- To perform any other duty as assigned in line with the organizations' goals and objectives.
Specification & Requirements
- Preferred candidates must have worked in any of the 15 top-tier Microfinance Banks in Nigeria.
- Minimum of 15 years experience in microfinance banking.
- In-depth knowledge of statutory banking requirements and compliance management.
- Membership of the Chartered Institute of Bankers Nigeria is an added advantage.
