Broadcast Engineer (Ibadan) at MegaLectrics Limited

MegaLectrics Limited is a Radio Broadcasting Company, with head office located at 26 Keffi Street, Off Awolowo Road, Ikoyi Lagos. We are the operator of Beat FM, Classic FM, Naija FM, and Lagostalks FM. We have our radio stations located across four locations in Nigeria, Lagos, Ibadan, Port Harcourt, Abuja and recently London in the UK.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Broadcast Engineer

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Maintaining specialist equipment for sound production, broadcast and satellite transmission and interactive media
• Setting up and monitoring audio links between units in different locations
• Installing and testing new facilities and equipment
• Setting up and operating editing facilities in post-production suites
• Analyzing and repairing technical faults on equipment and systems
• Minimizing loss of service when equipment fails by quickly identifying and implementing alternative methods of service provision
• Setting up and operating equipment and transmission links during outside broadcasts
• Designing and installing custom audio circuits
• Designing and managing hardware and systems
• Developing and using awareness of best practices in health and safety for the workplace.

Requirements

• A good First Degree in Engineering
• 3-5 years proven working experience as a Broadcast Engineer
• MSc/MBA is an added advantage
• Experience in electronic engineering and using communication equipment
• Ability to apply digital (and analogue) theory and work from diagrammatic information
• Excellent IT skills
• Ability to work well in teams.
