Registration of "Walk-In-Candidates" for the November / December 2014 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private Candidates

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC), wishes to inform intending candidates for the November/December 2014 West African Senior School Certificate Examination(WASSCE) for private candidates, who were unable to register during the normal registration period, that they can still register and sit the examination as "walk-in-candidates".

Registration of walk-in-candidates will commence on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 and continue throughout the duration of the examination. The registration for per “walk-in- candidate” is N25,000.00 (Twenty five thousand Naira) only.
In addition “walk-in candidates” should note that they would only be able to sit the examination in cities and towns where the Councils offices are located.

Guidelines for Registration

1.) Interested candidates are expected to walk into any of the Council’s Zonal or Branch Office, with two passport photographs, in addition to the registration fee of N25,000.00 (Twenty five thousand Naira) only, in bank draft, drawn in favour of “The West African Examinations Council” not later than the day of the paper they intend to sit.

2.) Candidates must complete the registration formalities at any WAEC Zonal or Branch Office.

3.) Candidates can register without prejudice to the minimum number of subjects.
