Overview
- The Head of Finance and Administration will manage all financial, and administrative services and will provide strategic business guidance to further grow the organization financially.
- He/ She will provide strategic business planning, supervise/conduct all financial operations, and manage the administrative portfolio of the organization.
Skills and Capabilities
- Oversee administrative functions as well as facilities to ensure efficient and consistent operations as the organization scales.
- Responsible for all matters related to the operations and administration of the organization.
- Oversee and lead annual budgeting and planning process, administer and review all financial plans and budgets; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership team abreast of the organization’s financial status.
- Manage organizational cash flow and forecasting.
- Forecast monthly, quarterly and annual results
- Approve or reject budgets
- Evaluate and decide on investments opportunities
- Allocate resources and manage cash flows
- Conduct profit and cost analyses
- Develop secure procedures to maintain confidential information
- Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations
- Recommend cost-reducing solutions
- Plan and coordinate administrative procedures and systems and devise ways to streamline processes
- Recruit and train personnel and allocate responsibilities and office space
- Assess staff performance and provide coaching and guidance to ensure maximum efficiency
- Oversee facilities services and maintenance activities.
Qualifications
- First Degree from a reputable tertiary institution in Accounting, Finance or relevant field from a reputable institution
- Minimum of 7 years finance experience, with demonstrated progressive growth
- MSc/MBA is an added advantage
- Profession certification ACA, ACCA CFA or similar qualification
- Good negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Proven experience with budgeting and risk management
- Good knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models
- In-depth understanding of cash flow management
- Good understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance
- Good communication, business presentation skills
- Good appreciation and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
