Job Title: Project Lead

Role Summary/Purpose
  • The person shall be responsible for developing and managing an effective and efficient hardware refurbishment program for recovered SSPE.
  • The Project Lead shall ensure that the project is delivered on time and to the required quality standard. She/he will ensure the project is effectively resourced, and managed in parallel with other workshop activities.
  • The Project Lead is also responsible for managing the work of sub-contractors / 3rd party vendors, managing and expediting spares.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Drive HSE compliance and safety behaviors
  • Manage and lead the hardware refurbishment team.
  • Recruiting of project engineers, technicians and consultants.
  • Detailed project planning and control including: Developing and maintaining a detailed project plan, development of a detailed Level IV Schedule including Progress Monitoring/Earned Value Management
  • Risk Analysis of key activities
  • Managing project deliverables in line with the project execution plan.
  • Prepare scope quotation and raise Job Notifications.
  • Ensure timely approvals of PR/PO
  • Record and manage project issues
  • Resolving crossfunctional issues at project level across (GE and Customer).
  • Managing project scope and Management of Change, escalating issues where necessary.
  • Coordination of Technical Queries/Deviation
  • Detailed weekly reports to include Schedule Updates, Safety Records, Cost Breakdown, Procurement, Logistics, Storage, Production, Quality and Documentation
  • Managing project evaluation and dissemination activities.
  • Working closely with Customer Project Leads/Engineers to ensure the project meets business needs.
  • Definition and management of the Acceptance Testing Criteria.
  • Ensuring accurate records of Time & Materials are kept
  • Ensure lessons learned are fed back to the rest of the business.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Degree qualified and/ or a minimum of 5 years' experience in an Engineering or Project Management position.
  • 7 years minimum Oil & Gas Industry experience, preferably within Subsea.
  • Previous experience within a project environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Capable of multitasking and working to agreed schedules.
  • Customer orientated.
Desired Characteristics:
  • Work experience on refurbishment of subsea equipment e.g. XT's, THS, EDP and LRP's
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • PC proficiency
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Established project management and analytical abilities
  • Sound technical judgment
  • Able to interface at all levels, both internally and externally
