Job Title: Accountant

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Capturing of all daily expenses
• Preparation of Financial Reports: statement of comprehensive income, account payable and receivable journals etc.
• Reconciliation of accounts of branches including POS transactions
• Asset Management(vehicles, machines etc)
• Monthly stock taking/supervision
• Spot checking of store records
• Preparation of daily, Weekly and monthly Sales and Expenditure Forecast
• Preparation of weekly creditors and debtors schedule
• Budget preparation and forecast (weekly, monthly and yearly)
• Preparation of Salary schedule
• Follow-up on outstanding payment from debtors
• Implement wastage reduction strategy by reviewing production forecast
• Implement Tax Avoidance Strategy
• Prepare tax computations and returns
• Prevent and detect financial fraud
• Preparation of journal entries
• Complete general ledger operations
• Prepare Monthly and year end closings and financial statements
• Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts
• Prepare analysis of accounts as requested
• Monitor and resolve bank issues including account/bank reconciliations
• Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures
• Review and process expense reports
• Assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process
• Driver log book monitoring
• Inventory management
• Prepare weekly/monthly sales and expense report.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2 years work experience.
