Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician

Job Description
- The role holder is expected to perform laboratory tests of moderate and high complexity and prepare records of test results. Maintain instruments, equipment, and supplies.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and calibrate test instruments and equipment to assure the accuracy of tests.
- Collection of blood, tissue, and other specimens.
- Prepare solutions or reagents to be combined with specimens.
- Perform laboratory tests of moderate and high complexity as defined in laboratory procedures manual.
- Clean instruments and equipment as needed prior to and following each test.
- Perform maintenance and minor repairs to instruments and equipment.
- Recognize equipment malfunctions and notify appropriate personnel.
Education and Experience
- Associate Degree in Chemical, Physical, or Biological Science or Medical Laboratory Technology.
- 0 - 3 years of current experience in a clinical laboratory or in a related field required.
- Quality service management
- Knowledge of laboratory
- Measurement terminology
- Knowledge of storage of reagents and chemicals within the laboratory
- Laboratory technology / Equipment management
- Weekend work required.
