We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Assistant Veterinary Officer

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

• Examine animals and check their health status
• Diagnose illnesses and determine the best treatment
• Dress wounds of injured animals
• Prescribe medication
• Feed animals and monitor whether they're eating.
• Bathe pets when necessary.
• Exercise the animals.
• Clean, sterilize, and maintain kennels, operating rooms, examining rooms, cages, and surgical equipment.
• Update dog’s records
• Manage the Pets' and dogs' shop such as pet foods, dog foods and accessories.
• Immunize animal to protect them against various diseases.
• Assess the living condition of animals and make necessary recommendations for improved health.
• Assist Veterinarians and Vet Technicians with lab work.

Requirements

• Minimum of an OND / HND / B.Sc. in related discipline
• A minimum of 3 years work experience as a Veterinarian, Veterinary Technician or Veterinarian Assistant or related role.
• Problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain medical terms and conditions using simple language.
• Patience and love for animals.
