Michael Stevens Consulting - Our client, a favorite brand for children's clothing in Nigeria seeks to urgently fill the role: RETAIL STORE TEAM LEAD for their new shops opening Nationwide who would be responsible for primarily the in- store customer experience that would lead to increased sales, customer delight and retention. Manage the all store operations to maximize profit including ensuring right merchandise mix (inventory management).

Job Title: Retail Store Team Lead

Location:
Apapa (Lagos), Abuja, Lekki (Lagos), Surulere (Lagos), Port Harcourt.

Responsibilities:
  • Amongst other job responsibilities of the position includes:
  • Drive and increase sales performance in designated outlet
  • Oversee and ensure customer in store experience is exceptional
  • Engage customers, readily provide solutions, elicit feedback and communicate to appropriate persons for decision making.
  • Ensure and maintain adequate stock level(Inventory management) at all times
  • Ensure store operational efficiency by enforcing adherence to all Standard operating procedures/process
  • Initiate and drive marketing activities within store location
  • Responsibility to develop own leadership skills and that of the team members
  • Responsible for accurate and timely documentation of all store operational activities
Education and Qualification:
  • B.SC in Business Administration, Management.
  • Masters in Administration with related retail training courses will be an added advantage.
Experience:
At least 5years experience in a structured organization,2years preferably in a managerial capacity

Front end retail management exposure is a must (inclination to fashion would be an added advantage)

Person Specification:
  • Warm, personable and honest individual,confident in look and speech
  • Self-motivated and result driven
Knowledge:
  • Working knowledge of Human relations, Sales and customer service principles and practice.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong leadership and team playing skills is crucial to the role
  • High standard of attention to detail
  • Result and solution oriented
  • Ability to think on his feet and make quality decisions
  • Good persuasion skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Excellent organizational development skills
  • Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office skills like Word, Outlook, Excel, Power point.
