Job Title: Social Media Specialist

Location: Lekki Phase One, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• A successful social media specialist engages with customers via various channels of social media٫ growing website traffic and revenue through strategic exploitation of the social media roadmap.
• A solid understanding of how social media channels work and how to optimize content is necessary in order to be a successful social media specialist.
• Your responsibility is to “soft-sell” the product by providing customer support for current and prospective customers.

Responsibilities

• Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research٫ platform determination٫ benchmarking٫ messaging and audience identification
• Create٫ refine٫ publish and share daily content (original text٫ images٫ video or HTML) that builds meaningful and unique connections and encourages community members to take action
• Generate and perfect company pages within a variety of social media platforms to increase the visibility of the company’s social content
• Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community
• Create syndication schedules and editorial calendars to optimize time management
• Always be improving٫ by acquiring and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics٫ insights and best practices٫ and then taking action based on said information
• Collaborate with key departments (customer relations٫ sales etc) to manage reputation
• Identify key players and coordinate actions through means of collaboration

Qualifications

• BSc Degree in Marketing or relevant field
• 2 years of experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role
• Social Media Strategist using social media for brand awareness and impressions
• Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+ and other social media best practices
• Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics
• Experience with doing audience and buyer persona research
• Good understanding of social media KPIs
• Familiarity with web design and publishing
• Excellent multitasking skills
• Great leadership skills
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Team player
• Good time-management skills
• Great interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.

Salary

• N80,000 - N150,000 Monthly.
